How to remove an old WC and connect new WC to the old porcelain/ceramic waste/soil pipe?

The current ceramic/porcelain waste pipe is 14 inches/35.60cm by circumference, which is 4.46 inches/11.31cm in diameter. This is at the point where the waste the waste pipe enters the wall to leave the house.

Is this a standard size that I can easily connect to my new WC?

My current (and new) WC has a P-type trap.

Will I need to trim the soil pipe and if so, how?

  1. you can get a multi fit connector which fits inside the pipe with a collor that will take the pan spigot

  2. You can get plastic connectors to the drain that are easy to fit. Ask your builders merchant
