I am not that great with the computer so i'm hoping someone else has dealt with this and can give some instruction! I tried to uninstall but it comes back when i turn the computer on! thank you

  1. This is most likely a virus.  It can be obtained easily enough, so don't give your boyfriend too hard a time.  They can be very difficult to remove.  I recently dealt with one that was even smart enough to block google result showing how to remove it.  The best thing to do is run a legit anti virus package.  It may recognize and quarantine the virus.  Failing that, it's to Geek Squad for you, I'm afraid.

  2. Go to My Computer (Usualy found on the desktop, can be found in your start menu)

Go to Control Panel (Should be found somewhere in the "My Computer" window. If you have Windows Vista it can be found in the start menu aswell as in "My Computer)

Go to Add / Remove Programs (Found in the Control Panel)

If he doesn't remember installing it it's most likely a bad virus. Most viruses disguise themselves as anti-virus software and are nasty to get rid of.

Here are a few REAL anti-virus programs that I recommend to help remove it.

http://www.malwarebytes.org/ (Amazing FREE program works like a charm)

    http://free.avg.com/ (Good FREE anti-virus)

Also, to get rid of the possible Spyware.

Spybot - Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.h...

Hope that helps, if nothing else works reformat. It cleans EVERYTHING off of your hard drive including all your pictures / files , etc. I wouldn't reccomend it if you aren't computer savvy.

  3. AntiSpywareMaster 7.3, a clone of AntispywareDeluxe, is another corrupt anti-spyware parasite to surface the Web in late March 2008. Essentially, it is a fake program designed to steal $30-$50 from users who are gullible enough to download and install it.

Usuallly, AntiSpywareMaster 7.3 infects systems via misleading advertising on free download, warez and p**n websites. Other methods of infection include trojans and browser security holes. AntiSpywareMaster 7.3 uses falsified scan results to intimidate you into buying the fake full version.

AntiSpywareMaster 7.3 is a malicious program and should not be downloaded or bought, and users should block antispywaremaster.com using their HOSTS file.

  4. A similer thing happened to me, my computer was rendered pretty much useless. I took mine to a computer tech. I'd get a second opinion (such as a friend who knows about computers then if they arn't sure, put all of the stuff you want to kept onto discs and get a professional to take a loook at it. Then they might wipe it clean.

  5. i have had this sorta thing happen before where i installed something that i shouldnt have. ok there are 2 ways you can try to uninstall it.

    1. go to my computer then add or remove programs then find the name of it on list adn click uninstall.

    2. it isprobably in in you c drive so what you do is open my computer then go to PRESARIO (c:) then click on program files then find the program in the list and delete the folder. to completely get rid of it after doing this go to recycling bin and empty it.

3.(this is probably the way you did it) open the file and find a uninstall button.

    Hope this helped! ( =
