How to remove braces without going to an Ortho/Dentist?

Is there a safe way to remove my braces? I am currently having TMJ and they are giving me severe pain, and I am on vacation for 3 weeks with my family. Is there a safe in-home method to remove them?

Alternatively, how hard would it be to get another Orthodontist in the area to remove them?

Thanks in advance!

  1. dnt do tht yu end up with big yellow glue marks on your teeth, and they can also go squint again if they have not had full treatment.

  2. Don't do it because things will end up worse.

  3. This might sound crazy, but stay up and drink alot of soda tonight and then start wiggling you braces like crazy once the brackets are off you gotta pulldown really hard and pull of the ring things,

your gonna go through some pain but not THAT much,

once you getfull of soda then just rinse you mouth out with soda and kepp doing that until the rings get loose, sometimes you gotta pull some but thats about it.

    Good Luck

  4. Do not remove them by yourself.  Orthodontists are trained, and have the necessary tools to remove braces properly.  I  have seen many pictures of people that haven't taken care of their braces and they were removed improperly, and it resulted in holes in their teeth/enamel.

  5. Bite the brackets off and rip the wires out.

  6. It would not be a good idea to remove your braces yourself, you could give yourself worse problems than you already have. See if a local Dentist or Orthodontist will see you. I doubt they will remove the braces, but perhaps will be able to do something to get you out of pain. Good luck

  7. see if you can get your hands on a local telephone book and look up the name of an orthodontist. usually you can get an emergency visit. don't try to remove them yourself. you may possibly be able to remove some of the brackets or cut off the wire but the last thing you need is to have them half or mostly off and then have part of them stuck in your mouth. if you are in severe pain you could go to a local emergency room and the may be able to remove them or at least give you a pain reliever. whatever you do be VERY careful about what objects you put in your mout to pull or pry or yank.
