Question:

How to remove brown water stain on white marble floor?

The floor became stained from a water leak in the shower. The leak has been fixed but the water that leeched to the floor has left a brown water stain at the outer perimeter of the area affected. I have tried a traditional poultice with no success. Are there any other products with or without additives that might be successful, or does anyone know any magic mixes that won't etch the surface of the marble(or even if it does etch the surface)? Any suggestions welcome.

  1. Rust stains are the worst on marble.  Bummer.

Lime Away or C.L.R. will get rid of it.  However, it will etch the marble too.  Try to minimize the etching by using a small amount ONLY on the stain (follow directions carefully).   Then you'll probably have to polish the marble back up to a sheen.

  2. Get Grease Lightning! Removes every and anything!!!
