How to remove driveshaft?

87' t-bird 5.0L , how do i remove the driveshaft? i removed 4 bolts and the driveshaft is loose but I can't pull it down cuz the shaft or whatever it is is sticking out from differential and its holding the driveshaft, it wont' let me lower it

You remove the rear u-joint and it should pull right out. You might have to remove the cross member to.

It sounds like the flanges are froze together. Tap a scraper or screwdriver between them. Pry the drive shaft towards the front of the car and it should drop down.

take a big screwdriver and pry it loose from the pinion yoke, then tape the u-joint so you wont lose any of those needle bearing out of the u- joint.
