How to remove membership from a Yahoo Group for a 'non-existing' user?

Someone who used to be a member in the past of a Yahoo Group, still receives the Daily Digests, even after unsubscribing from the group.

The membership logs clearly shows that he has left the group and I can't find him in the membership areas with a search on his name or email address.

Why is this person still receiving the Daily Digests even though he is no longer is a member?

  1. If the address is not in your membership list, he/she should not be receiving your posts.  If he/she is receiving your posts, then there must be a second address for the same person.  I suggest you email the individual who notifies you about receiving unwanted posts and check the email address.

  2. I just go find the person under membership and go to edit and delete them. I have done this and they can always rejoin if they feel they have been deleted by mistake. You can also ban members who you'd like to not have in your group.

  3. Maybe you can tell him to rejoin the group and set his group settings to no mail then unjoin the group. It is not your fault he had his settings on that, and it is probably a yahoo glitch, but thats only 1 way to stop it.

On the other hand he could still be a member under another yahoo ID and email address.

Or you could try taking his email address and BAN it to see if that will stop the digest from being sent to him too.

  4. there's an unsub glitch and that member wont appear to be  a member to the owner. you need t o send that past member the help form for this on-going glitch. only way to get it fixed.
