How to remove mildew

Hi

I have just opened a pushchair which has been in my garden shed and it has mildew on it. The pushchair is perfect otherwise. Does anyone know what would remove it.

Wash off the mildew and to remove the stain left behind douse the stains with lemon juice and set in the sun.

In UK buy Dettox bathroom cleaner / mould remover.  I use it on my shower curtains.  Just spray it on and leave it, the mould disappears. Obviously then on a pushchair, for safety, you would need to rinse it off.

Using a soft cloth moistened with a little mild antiseptic dissolved in warm water, wipe off mildew

There was an article at Scott Common Sense that mentioned some good tips on removing and preventing mildew:

Don’t mess around with mold. Mold and mildew are a persistent problem, so knock them out with a specialty cleaner that contains bleach. Spray your shower curtain liner with a mixture of warm soapy water and bleach to keep it spot-free. Run your bathroom exhaust fan during and after showers to help that warm damp air escape.
