How to remove old rubber mat?

i used to hang a rubber show mat over my bath after use,now that it has been removed the old deteriorated pieces of mat are stuck to the side of the bath.i am unble to remove this ,does anyone have a solution that will not damage my bath.

Try rubbing alcohol. Try a small spot first. You don`t say what material your bath is made of. Ceramic? Fibreglass?

Try some Goo Gone it is found at Walmart and most supermarkets. Make sure to follow the instructions on the bottle.
