How to remove original Remington 700 glued recoil pad?

I have a Remington 700 .308, My recoil pad is glued on. Can't find any screws? Trying to install R3 recoil pad. Please Help!

  1. WRONG!! The recoil pad is glued on. Hot glue to be percise. Heat is needed to remove the pad. Very low, don't burn the stock. I have heard people say all the time, Remington does not glue the pads on....The older models screws are used, newer models, depending on which model H&S percision makes for Remington THEY ARE GLUED!!!
