How to remove residue from self stick vinyl flooring?

I have self stick tiles installed over vinyl sheet flooring. The tiles are hideous and discolored. I would like to pull them up and attempted one but noticed glue residue on the sheet flooring..this is in my kitchen. What can I use to remove the residue off the original floor?

  1. Cassandr Homedepot carries a product made for this purpose.  It is made by Henry and comes in 1 quart bottle of concentrate, just mix with water.  It cost about $9.00.

  2. dont do acetone, it'll destroy the vinyl wd40 might work or goof off

  3. Try WD40 or acetone.
