How to remove seeds from a thistle head?

I have a thistle flower head and I dont know how to get the seeds out of the flower can someone help me please?

cut it off and let it dry then the seeds should fall out.

Let it flower, then when the flower dies it will leave the fuzzy seeds behind...when they look dry and ready to fly off, you can just pull them off the centre of what was the flower.  Remove the fuzz and keep the seeds.
