How to remove semi-permanent (like manic panic) dye from carpet?

I had a squeeze bottle of Beyond the Zone on my table and I guess my cats knocked it over. There's a huge puddle of dried dye on my carpet and I don't know how to get it out.

try nail polish remover and keep the cats away, that should do it. Don't use resolve because it will take the color out. Good luck, and I hope it comes out!
