How to remove sharpie writing?

I recently wrote something on the shoulder strap of my jansport big student backpack in metallic sharpie.

is there a way to remove it?

Try some Isopropyl Alcohol. Alcohol dissolves ink, so it should work. Dab some on with a rag or cloth-gently rub out the ink. Then go over it with water to rinse out excess alcohol.

try a MR.Clean Magic Eraser..just wet it a bit w/ water and scrub. it may lighten it...

its pernament but, you call always draw over it.

No, but you can always try a stain remover to see if it works. If not then try to interminger the writting with some kind of design.

try hairspray

i know it works if you have to get permanent marker off of the wall, it may possibly work for your backpack
