  1. What is happening is that the new materials are out gassing. Open windows and fans would be my solution.

  2. Bake cookies!

  3. Try to put some big Chinese grapefruit skin in the cabinets.  It is very good at absorbing smell and releasing nice lemony fragrant.

  4. Big bowls of vinegar.  You could also take charcoal briquettes and place them inside the cabinet. Get a fan, open the windows to get the air circulating as well.

  5. newspaper will absorb the smell kind of ball it up inside the cabinets and toss them everyday the smell will go away this works for mothball smell too

  6. Had a similiar problem in cabinets, although from paint.  Go out and get a bunch of those little purple cube activated carbon odor absorbers called fridge IT odor absorbers.  Place one or two in each cabinet and forget about it.  Worked great for me.  And, then I took them out and used them in other places like trash can and garage.   I buy my regular order from the company direct .  Email them at customerservice@innofresh.com for an order form that they send like right away.

  7. I kind of like the smell of a newly installed kitchen.

Decide to - Enjoy the smell!

If not - Baking cookies, brownies, or a cake should help - Great idea!

Making soup - and chopping up onions helps.

Candles, outlet plug in nice smelly things :-) and flowers all help as well.

    First - Do your planning!

This new smell should only last a few days.

    Hope this helps!
