How to remove sound on windows movie maker?

i have a video in the video section and my music in the music/audio section. i have music over one part of my video but you can still hear the video and i want to delete the sound off that part of the video. how do you do that?

  1. on the timeline, there should be a video tab, click the plus next to it +

    then right click the audio you see and click mute


  2. Click on the video clip you want to mute. Then go to your top menu bar where "File, Edit, View, Tools..." etc. is.Click on "Clip" and on the drag down menu there is "Audio". Go to that and on the other menu that appears, click "Mute".

    This mutes your video clip without muting your music.

  3. Just highlight the sound and click delete. Or click and drag the end of the sound to shorten it.

  4. On the Zoom/Time line/Microphone bar (right above where you edit the video), there is a little rectangle with lines on it.  Click that, and drag the cursor in the thing that pops up all the way to the right.  Your video's audio will be removed, while your music can still be heard.
