  1. Use Goo Gone, NOT Goof off or anything else listed.  You also want to get the Goo Gone in a GEL formula, not the oilier liquid.  The gel is thicker and won't get anywhere in/ on the guitar that you don't want it to.  Definitely don't use other things that have been listed, esp. not nail enamel remover.

  2. you could try using some wd-40 and rubbing off the residue with a rag

  3. try goof of

  4. use GOO Gone

  5. I work at home depot so i know about some of these items don't use nail polish remover. DO NOT USE GOOF OFF like other people have told you... why??? let me put it to you like this goof off can eat thru plastic so i wouldn't put that on anything other than what its used for (to breakup latex paint etc...) ur best bet would prob be goo gone that is made for taking off sticker residue. just becareful bc its oily try not to get it near anything like the pick ups etc...

  6. be carefull with the goo gone and goof off.  the citrus goo gone is good stuff, but make sure it's a mild one.  the goof off i have is acetone based which would be bad.  try a little on the back of the guitar first, make sure it's not rubbing off the finish.

I have had a lot of luck with WD40 of all things.

  7. you can use a hair dryer. heat it up real hot then glide it up and down the sticker for about a minute. should be able to peel it right off, then use the rubbing alcohol to romove any glue leftover. if it doesnt want to peel off, heat it up longer with the dryer. tell me how it goes when your done. hope i helped!

  8. I have found paint thinner (mineral spirits) or even a bit of lighter fluid (like for a Zippo) works.

You don't need much, just enough to soften the glue, and wipe if off, first with a dry rag, then with a soapy damp rag

Another thing that works is that orange oil cleaner, you will find it called citriclean, fast orange or something like that.

Even mineral oil will help dissolve it. (like body rub or baby oil)

(careful not to light the lighter fluid on fire, eh)

  9. Polish remover has acetone in it.  I have used it to remove varnish from my skin & it wipes right off.  Can't imagine it would be too good for your guitar's finish.

Try goof off, goo gone, krud kutter.  Most of there are available at Walmart or your local hardware store.

  10. Try a stronger 90% alcohol, the nail polish contains acetone and will remove the finish as well.

  11. Yeah, Goof Off works really well.

  12. I wouldn't use nail polish remover ..way to harsh

They sell a product called "Goo Gone" ...and it is specially made to remove glue ...try that !

  13. Buy some Goo Gone, that should do it! It's about $3 at Walmart or any hardware/department store

  14. soak them in vinegar. Let it sit for about an hour and it should scrape right off. Don't use nail polish remover! You'll ruin the finish on the guitar.

Why in the heck would someone give me a thumbs down for my answer? My answer is cost effective, good for the environment and it actually works!

  15. Nail polish remover will definitely take off the finish. Try some goo gone. that stuff is awesome.
