How to remove walnut stains from fabric?

We were at the park experimenting with these wild walnuts we found and doing it on my beautiful wrap from St. Bart...now it's all stained and nothing will get the stains off...What to do??? :(

  1. This is a toughie.

    On a corner or a seam edge do a test first to find out how the fabric reacts- if test is OK - then soak the stained spots with hydrogen peroxide - let sit for awhile- then hand was your wrap.

    OR

    Again do a test first - Soak a Q-tip with finger nail polish remover and rub each spot gently - then hand wash.

    OR

    You can try Oxy-Clean or bleach but be careful - they can weaken the fabric.

    The company that makes Rit Fabric Dye makes some specialized stain remover products - I know there is one for rust---maybe they have something that cleans out stains from plants like walnuts.
