there should be a tiny switch on it to flip-

then it should be unlocked

If the card is one that you purchased from the store, then there should be a tiny slider on one side of the card. Click it in the opposite direction that it is facing and it should unlock it so that you can wipe the contents.

If this is a commercial one that was provided for some other reason, it may not have the slider and be permanently read only. If this is the case then you cannot erase the contents.

Either a switch on the card or, using a card reader, right-click on card files and select properties (you can do multiples).

Look for the Read Only check box and make sure it is cleared. You may have to click it a couple times if you select mixed properties on multiple files.

If all else fails... reformat the card.
