How to remove write protect on my usb flash drive. my mp3 player does'nt want to accept files or

my mp3 player does'nt want to accept files or delete them. When i send files to it,it says it is write protected i'm trying to remove some files to save to my computer but it my flashdrive won't let me saying they are write protected and to remove it first. How do i do that?
