You can remove last visited sites by going to Tools-> Options and then you can remove history from there.

Which option to click depends on your browser whether its firefox, ie. or some other.

If this doesn't help then go to start and then remove all data related to recent files in your computers cache and log files, usually stored in temp folder. (In case of windows)

Click on tools at the top of your screen, go to internet options. In the drop down menu go to "temporary internet files", delete all cookies and other temp-files.
