How would I find out how to rent a ship for a night

Question Details: I want to have an event on a boat for a night with a gathering of people, but i wasnt sure what exactly what I would be looking for on the internet or exactly where would I go. I dont want a full ship with just a captian. But a whole catering service among other things? So would I look on a cruise agency or something?

I know how to charter a Cruise ship but it takes advance planning - like a year and a half to two years and some real money.

I think what you are looking for is a dinner cruise, not an actual cruise ship right? They wouldnt let you do that unless you chartered it for the week or 3-5 days.

Don't call a cruise agency, I would google dinner cruises in your area. I know in DC we have the Odyssey, which I got proposed on --
