How to repack a Kinder Egg?

I am surprising my girlfriend for her birthday by putting my own little surprise in a kinder egg, n i have done the taking the egg apart n putting it back together ok but i cant seem to get the foil back on making it look as new! can anyone help meee!!! ??

If the foil isn't ripped yet, spread out the foil on your table until it's nice and flat. Wrap the chocolate egg making sure you have enough space at the top and bottom make sure the foil lies flat on the middle part of the egg all around. fold the top and the bottom like they sides of a present then your good to go.

First, place a cushioning layer on your table or work surface, like a sheet of rubber foam or other resilient but non-stick cushioning like the sort they use for stacking porcelain and china; this will help prevent your egg from breaking as you wrap it as well as keeping it from rolling except as you direct it. Make sure you work in a cool and dry space so your chocolate will not melt or spoil from humidity! It goes without saying that you should be working with clean hands, but still try to avoid handling the foil too much as your skin may deposit oils that might keep the foil from laying as smoothly as it could.

Place your foil (with the writing down) on the padding. Center your egg, top to bottom, on one edge of the foil sheet. Roll the egg and foil sideways (along the "equator") until the other edge overlaps, but keep that edge down so that the weight of the egg holds it shut while you do the next step. The foil should now be making a tube around your egg. Make sure the lettering lines up around the middle of the egg as it should.

With one hand, hold the egg down against the foam to keep the underside edge securely in place. Take a stiff playing card, flexible credit card, or other semi-stiff, thin, low-friction object in the other hand. You could use a knife, but that would risk cutting the foil rather than bending it. Starting at the "equator" on the right side of the egg, put the edge of the card against the egg and foil, and roll the edge upwards along the "longitude line" toward the "North Pole" to make a smart crease in the foil. Do the same for the left side, then use the flat of the card to carefully smooth the foil against the egg, always rolling or pulling from the equator upwards, overlapping and making smooth, smart pleats. There will be some separation in the foil; don't worry right now. Repeat for the "South Pole" of the egg until the foil is mostly in place. Try to follow any existing creases if you can, but if not, don't worry. Even new Kinder Surprise eggs have some wrinkling. Carefully roll the egg around a bit on your cushioned work surface to flatten the foil further into place.

The final step is to get the foil to lay completely flat now that it is in place (or, you can stop now if you are satisfied with the look). What you want is a firm, smooth, but giving surface applying pressure evenly to roll it around on. You could roll it around on a smooth-rubber surfaced (as opposed to nubbly) ping pong paddle (using another paddle or perhaps a piece of cardboard to keep your hands off the foil). You could roll it around in a large, rounded bowl until the foil is flattened enough for your taste -- use swirling motions of the whole bowl to create the rolling action, but cover the bowl with something so your egg won't fly out!

This should create a sufficiently smoothed egg for your purposes. After all, what girlfriend would look too closely at their chocolate egg when they are with you? If you are still worried, you could "help" her by starting to unwrap it once you've given it to her so she can't get too close a look -- or, you can always wrap it in a second layer of gift wrap or cling wrap, so when she unwraps it, she will think that the action of taking off that second layer was what disturbed the original foil... :^D

I don't think it will ever look like first.

Unless you buy a new one, do all the process again , but this time don't fully open the foil. Maybe you can get it look like first if you dont fully open it.
