  1. If one is burnt the the whole head needs a complete valve job.

  2. There is no simple fix, the only way to repair it is to remove the cylinder head and replace the valve.

  3. not a simple fix,but if u   have the mechanical attitudee,it can be done...you have to remove the top part of the engine, upper intake, lower intake, then remove the heads, but rememberyou havee to remove the springs on the valves, reseat the valves, grind down the mating surfaces, compress the springs down properly, its just a lot to do,time consuming, but it can be done if you have the time...hope this helps..

  4. change it. that,s about all you can do.

  5. Requires removing head to remove valve, --  is going to run you probably $300+, so it would be wise to have the all the valves and seats checked and ground, replacing valves that are marginal -- to eliminate having to remove head again soon and doing more work on it!

Normally I remove and clean all the valves and seats and down inside ports in head(s), check the valve guides for wear, and do "touchup" on valves to see just what kind of shape they are in!  Grind seats and put useable valves back in, - and put new ones  in as required to fill the rest of the holes!  This is also a good time to check over the rest of the head,- and especially to make sure there is no "warpage" as warped heads blow head gaskets, (remove head again to replace)!!

Some garages advocate replacing all the exhaust valves, - I do it if customer specifically asks, - but never do on my own stuff, and never have any problems because of it!  But then again  have been doing this stuff for almost60 years now, - and possibly have better perception on what is good and what is not!
