I have a stiga ping pong table in my basement. Which is placed right under my Ac coolant pipe. So from time to time wen we would use the Ac for a while condensed water would fall on the table, and one day too much water fell at a spot where the table now has a bump. So if th ball hits that particular spot it would go somewhere else. Is thee anyway to fix that bump without discarding my table because its not ridiculously big . But enough to be noticed

  1.     the section of wood or sheet of wood should be replaced.you can try this.get a piece of 3/4in plywood.about 4in.bigger all around the size of the bump.glue it.( carpenter glue if the under side is unfinished.)a second piece the same size directly over the top.find a way to clamp it.pulling both pieces of plywood together.if the bump is in the middle of the table.it will be more difficult.but find a way.let dry over night.remember the glue on the piece on the bottom only.good luck.

  2. About the only solution is to remove the damaged board and replace it with a similar size piece of plywood from your local home repair store.  You could probably easily make these repairs for under $20.  It might be a little more if you want it green.  Hope this helps.  Dave

  3. I would sand the bump down to the same level as the table, and paint it with flat paint the same color as the table.  Very little expense involved.

  4. First fix the condensation problem. Your table is made of particle board. The water has penetrated the finish and caused the board underneath to swell. There isn't really much you can do as particle board will not sand smooth as the glue has been damaged as well. You'll just have to live with it or replace it. Sorry for the bad news.
