How to repair or refinish burn marks from a vanity sink top?

Moving to a rental unit that has gross cig burns on edge of sink. In case the landlord won't repair, how can I?

  1. try some baking soda and water paste first. It won't scratch and the burn might not be as deep as you think. If that does not work try a professional carpet cleaner soap with em zines. I keep this stuff on hand for everything from motor oil on my carpets, year old red pop under the car seat, and it works wonderful on crystal light/kool-aid stains on the kitchen counters. It even works on brown hair color on the bathroom vanity. Contact a local car detailer and ask them if you can buy a half of soda bottle full. What I buy is 48.00 a gallon concentrate, but it works great with 4 kids.


  2. Use a metal or chrome polish but look underneath to be sure that the tinting is continuous through the plastic.
