i got a chip in my windshield and trying to get it fixed. i didnt get the license plate of the truck where the rock came from, i tried to get it fixed from one of those free repair trucks near the mall because my insurance does cover it, and i tried getting it done at jiffy lube but i guess they only have a guy that comes in ever blue moon that can do those repairs. im not interested in doing it myself unless it is really simple i would prefer to just get it done professionally.

  1. Those kits you buy at auto stores are not worth the trouble. They are OK if you have an old junker and don't want the chip to go into a crack.....but they look like c**p. Take it in to the pros. I had one done on my windshield and I swear...I thought they put in another windshield, because I couldn't see where it was fixed.

  2. Like the other answer said the kits at a store. I recommend the fix a windshield brand. Bout $10 and i was very pleased, i had a 12" crack and put it on, you can BARELY see it, only if you lay your head on the hood of my truck and move it around then you can see it a little, i was very pleased, just take your time and follow the directions, All you have to really do is put the resin in the chip, and i used the lil suction cup things that came with it, let it dry then put a second coat on and put the plastic sheet over it, let it dry then scrap off the stuff left over and should look good as new
