How to replace a thermostat on a '92 Honda Accord and where is it located?

  1. behind the distributor look at the long radiator hose, you have a ground remove that ground, and remove the hose. You will see 2 10 mm screws, that is the thermostat housing. I would also replace the thermo switch.  Note the autozone stuff did not work very well, I ended up using honda parts.


  2. Most thermostats are in a housing that connects to the upper radiator hose

  3. Fellow the top radiator hose down from the radiator to the engine which ends up just under and to the left of your distributor , Remove the hose clamp then pull the hose off . Now get a 10mm socket with a extension to remove the two bolts from the thermostat housing, When your about to remove the housing take note on the way that you remove the parts.
