  1. With no disrespect meant I agree with Uculet. Tear out, while the more labor intensive part of that job, is basic. Install takes a bit more thought.

I've lived in Mobiles, on and off since the 70's, and depending on the manufacturer and the materials available at the time, I owned a 1060 ish model with early evolution MDF. The one I'm in now 1984 has plywood, sub floor. It is likely, in your case, attached to the frame of the mobile.

With NO DETAILS at all about why you need to replace, or what your intent is after, or how long you might remain in the mobile, I'd probably add another sub floor over, and bite the bullet to lose fractional floor to ceiling space.

Since you state replace, it might also matter what your intent is, after the fact. Another issue might be, the entire space? Or just places  by doors, windows, bathrooms  where leaks and rotting happened?

Again, no offense, but even yahoo suggests, MORE details allow more detailed answers.

    Just my two "sense"

  2. come on now, u must have some idea on how to do it, not that hard, just cut it up in small pieces that u can handle, then use a crow bar....if u don't know how to get it up, then your not going to know how to replace it, get some help

  3. you will need to cut up the old floor first, or if not to bad just lay new over the old and buy transition strips to go to other rooms. You will have to shave off a 1/2 inch or so off your doors for them to swing shut. Or just rip up the old flooring, cut about 1 inch away from walls and just lay new up to it. Good luck.

  4. It depends on some different factors, such as the age and manufacturer of home and in what room. If you are going to save the above flooring e.i. carpet, you will not be able to save vinyl, it is glued down. Remove basebords and loosen, do not remove gyp board walls and lift off that flooring. Most manufacturers s***w the plywood down, just remove old plywood and s***w in the new where old was. Next, reverse the steps taken to remove to replace the flooring above the sub floor. It isn't hard, mobile homes are made to be easily upkept for the homeowner.
