Question:

How to report a conman in Australia?

Heya... I recently found out the extent to which an ex-boyfriend scammed me. We're talking stolen goods, as well as being guilt-tripped out of way more money than I can afford. I'm filing a minor civil claim through the magistrate's court to try and get what I can back (the stolen stuff at least), but just wondering if there's measures you can take to report conmen? I know I'm not the only one who he's ripped off. What worries me most is not the lost money, but the fact that I know for fact he's left behind at least 2 kids he does nothing for (not with me thank God). He needs to be stopped before he f**** over more women and brings MORE unwanted kids into the world. Any ideas on how?

  1. That depends on what exactly you want to report, ie: whether you want to report an actual crime/offence that he's committed, or whether you simply want to tell the world that he's a scumbag and a liar.

If you want to report an offence then ring your local Police, or Crime Stoppers (1800 333 000).

If you have concerns for the children, their safety and/or welfare etc then contact DoCS (132 111).

If you're in NSW you could also ring the Police Assistance Line (131 444) who can transfer you to a local station if your information doesn't meet the appropriate criteria.

If you'd simply like the world to know he's a lying, theiving scumbag etc then try something else....
