How to report someone for threats on here

I have a guy that is sending me threating emails and is swearing at me on here what do i do? It is really scaring me

report it to yahoo answers if it is happening through here, otherwise, you can block his emails.  You can also trace the header info in the email through some internet sites.  You just copy and paste it, do a google search on "trace email".  Hopefully, you didn't give him any personal info.  I would take it to the police and file a report if you are really that scared.  More than likely though, he is just being annoying and assuming you didn't give him any info, you are ok.

I know this may sound like an insensitive answer...

But why would you be scared of someone on the internet? Unless you gave him personal info, like where you live, phone number, etc.

And if you did that, you need to stay off the internet, because well, that is just dumb.

Contact Yahoo  and get their advice.  I have already tried my local police for law enforcement on the internet and they will do nothing.  Try to keep or remove your information off of the internet.  Don't use your real name anywhere.  Do not respond to your harasser.  Ever.  But keep a printed out copy, in case your harasser finds your home, for evidence.

you need to broadcast the guys name so we can in turn do the same to him.

Why don't you just block him? Unless the stalker knows where you live or work, then you can worry. Go to the police.

Report it to your local police department or Sheriff's Office.

They will trace the threats to the person making them and bring the proper charges against them.

Click on the button that says "Report Abuse."

Tell the person if he doesn't leave you alone you will take his emails to the local police and press charges for harassment.......slim chances the police would even care about this.....but at least it may tell him to get lost.
