How to request a ticket for the papal audience this coming Wednesday?

I'm visiting Rome and would like to attend the papal audience, what do I need to do? (I'll be away in Florence on the Tuesday)

If you mean the ordinary papal audience on wednesday you just gotta go to Saint Peter's square between 15:00 and 19:00 and ask for the "Porta di Bronzo", there you ask the swiss guard where you can get the tickets, if you are a small group (let's say 4 or 5) you'll get them right away. That's it, not a big deal. You don't have to pay anything. You can  ask there if the audience is gonna be on Saint Peter's square or Paul VI Hall.

I don't think is too easy to have a papal audience. You can go in Vaticano, visit the museum vaticans, but I don't think you can have any papal audience. Maybe I can wrong, but I don't think so.
