  1. I need to know the name and version of the Operating system you are running. If windows, F1 represents help. Type it at start up and ask your computer. It works all the time.. lol

  2. If you do not want to back up any programs, the most important folders are Documents and Settings (and all of its sub-folders), plus any iTunes or other Libraries you may have created. Most Folders can be copied and pasted to any external drive, or else burned directly to CDs. iTunes and other special Libraries have their own backup procedures, but they are similar.

Then, just reformat and reinstall Windows (or hit F10 to get to the Recovery Partition and choose to destructively reinstall Windows to Factory Original condition (OEM)). Then reinstall only the programs you really need. And clean up periodically with CCleaner, and defragment your hard drive every few weeks. That should help a lot.

  3. Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some registry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Registry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!

There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

  4. It seems like it would be a lot easier to just delete the unnecessary programs and do a defrag, etc on your comp.

  5. Well, you could individually un-install the apps you don't want, then buy more ram, etc etc.

I recommend purchasing an external hard drive, then saving all of your pertinent information/files to it, then use your formatting disks to reformat your computer with your operating system. That's the quick easy fix.

    Hope this helps :)
