How to reset my memory on my Scientific Atlanta explorer 2200 cable box?

i want to reset the internal memory for my cable box how do i do this??

What part of the memory? Volatile or non-volatile?

A simple reboot (unplug power/plug back) will clear volatile memory.  See if the menu has a reset to factory defaults to clear everything else.
