I had my router protected my use name and password, but now if I try to log in its not recognizing it. I tried to reset my router my unplugging it for 5 minutes but its still not recognizing the default password either.

Its a D-Link WBR 1410 router. Any idea how to reset it?

  1. Should be a reset button on the back that you may need a paper clip to push in. This will default everything so be prepared for that

  2. Contact you internet service provider.  They should be able to help you with your problem.  They are able to tell if it isn't connected to whether its the router and how to fix it.

  3. There's a small hole in the back marked reset.  Use a paper clip or something like that and, with the router plugged in, push for about 10 secs.  You'll see all the lights on the front go off and then come on again.

  4. Most routers have a reset button the back.  I'd hold that in for 10 seconds and see if that resets it.  It'll blow all your settings though and you'll have to recreate them all from scratch.  Also, there should be documentation on DLink's website if this doesn't work.

  5. Have you checked the entire router for a reset button? If not, then you can try going into the settings and seeing if there is a way, but I doubt it...
