How to respond to my friend?

Question

My friend left me this letter before disappearing during the summer. I'm seeing her in a few days for school and I'm still not sure how to respond.

If you don't want to read the whole this a summary is:

She explains her friendships through the years and then questions why she has never been able to have a best friend of her own. At the bottom she says how I'm always there to have her back and she has been there for me. And how she notices that I have never really had a 'best' friend either. <That is quite true in a way>

The last paragraph is her asking me to be her best friend. I already see her as my best friend but it seems like she deserves a better answer then that. Any help please?

tell her that&#039;s your always going to be her best friend for ever and that you already were friends. That&#039;s the best words I think you could use its not a huge letter and all but not like omg we were friends you idiot its in between and she will appreciate it as much as you did her letter.
