I don't drive the freeway so when I arrive at a place that I could have driven on the freeway to get there but took the local streets and some mean person ask me how I got there when they are aware of the fact that I don't drive the freeway, how should I respond back to them without telling them that I didn't get on the freeway to get to my destination. Considering the fact that I know they are being malicious and waiting to see how I answer so they can make me feel bad that I don't drive the freeway. Your thoughts?

  1. just say if anyone asks you, just tell them you don't know

  2. Drive the way that you want too and dont worry about what other people say.....................

  3. I would say "That is a very good question, but, I don't think it is any of your business".

  4. Tell them you like to take the scenic route.

  5. It's really nobody else's business what type of roads you prefer. I've known many people who don't drive on the freeways for whatever reason. I'm sure you have your own.

You have a driver's license, and with that comes the right to drive on any public street or highway you choose.

People who leave nasty comments want to rile you up, and are just waiting for your response. So the best response is no response at all. If you never reply, they'll forget about you and eventually move on to harass someone else about another subject.

  6. Simply say to them "Why do you ask?"  People are mean because it makes them feel better about their own miserable life. If you throw their question back at them, it throws them off. You don't need to give reasons for your behavior. "Because I wanted to" is about all you  need to say, followed by "F.U." if they insist on continuing with their line of questioning. Plus, if you feel safer and more confident without taking the freeway, then that makes you a better driver. Lots of people do exactly that. And the freeway is not always the best way. I take the freeway to work, but I take streets home because the freeway is so congested in the afternoon that it actually takes me twice as long to get home on the freeway.

  7. If they want to drive on the freeway...then that's their choice.

If you prefer to take secondary roadways...then..that's your choice.

If they ask you why you didn't take the freeway?....you say.."Why do you care so much which way I go?"....then you say..."I'm not in any hurry..what difference does it make?"

If they give you c**p about it...then it's them who have some serious issues in their heads...not you.

Just go the way you feel most comfortable...and don't let these people get you down....it's none of their business which way you decide to drive...as long as you get where you're going in one piece.

    That's the important part!!...right?......right!!

  8. The freeway is safer than city streets  . call a good driving school  tell them your problem  book 2 lessons  then others if needed. Your not  alone i had several students  like you.
