  1. If you mean you want it back to as if you had just brought it home from the "store" then you'll need the recovery disk. If you have proof, you should be able to contact Toshiba and order the recovery disks.

Otherwise, you could go to toshiba's site and download the drivers, then reinstall windows fresh...

Unfortunately there is no magic button that will reset a laptop...

  2. Do a system restore to the date you first switched your computer on.

  3. Hi Danny

System restore will not do what your asking. However there is a way but you will need a Installation cd Assume you have Windows XP Then you need to borrow or buy a Windows XP Home Edition or Pro You can buy one used from Ebay. There are two options !.Repair install this will save all files/data on your hard drive Follow these instructions to Repair install.

Boot the computer using the XP CD. You may need to change the boot order in the system BIOS so the CD boots before the hard drive. Check your system documentation for steps to access the BIOS and change the boot order.

When you see the "Welcome To Setup" screen, you will see the options below

This portion of the Setup program prepares Microsoft

Windows XP to run on your computer:

To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER.

To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.

To quit Setup without installing Windows XP, press F3.

Press Enter to start the Windows Setup.

Do not choose "To repair a Windows XP installation using the Recovery Console, press R", (you Do Not want to load Recovery Console). I repeat, do not choose "To repair a Windows XP installation using the Recovery Console, press R".

Accept the License Agreement and Windows will search for existing Windows installations.

Select the XP installation you want to repair from the list and press R to start the repair. If Repair is not one of the options, END setup. After the reboot

Setup will copy the necessary files to the hard drive and reboot. Do not press any key to boot from CD when the message appears. Setup will continue as if it were doing a clean install, but your applications and settings will remain intact.

    2. If you want to do a clean install that will completely wipe your hard drive clean then follow the instructions from this site http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/win...

You will then need to reload all Microsoft Windows Updates and find all other drivers and software from http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/c... Then wham bam you should be back in business.

    Good Luck

    Could you make it £10
