How to retrace a call back to the caller?

Question

I've been getting these prank phone calls from somebody I have no clue. & my home phone is one of those old ones that don't show the caller ID. & so, I was wondering if there was anyway I could trace a received call back to that person, because it's been going for awhile & it's VERY annoying.

*69 or you could just get your phone company to do it for you at no cost. Good Luck!

*69 will read back the last callers telephone number, and connect you if you want.. this is a pay per use service, or can be subscribed to from your phone company... if they blocked there CID data this may not work..

*57 is call trace, this is billed per use, the information will not be provided to you, but the last call you recieved will be traced, for law enforcement purposes... if the call is harassing or threatening use this... call 1-866-trace-4-u for more info on call trace..

phones with CID displays are cheap, you can get them for under $15 and most phone companies provide CID service as part of there calling package, so you should think about getting a phone with CID...

many prankers will not call you if they have to unblock there number, so even tho you do not have a CID phone, you could still activate anon. call rejection by dialing *77 this will block private callers from calling you... and they will have to send the CID data when they call you (so *69 would also work) this feature is included for free with all phone packages that also have CID included...
