How to retrieve a list of your local lan ip addresses from one computer.?

I want to see a list of IP's on our network and what computer they are on (Computer Name) without having to sit at each computer and do a IPCONFIG

  1. go to www.cnet.com and you can download Advanced IP Scanner it works great i use it at work when i need to find an unused IP


  2. The easiest thing is to access your DHCP Client list on your DHCP server or router.  That should have the IP, hostname, and MAC address.

    If you don't mind being a guinea-pig I wrote a JAVA application that pings every computer on a subnet (only works with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 though) and if PING responds, it lists the IP, Hostname, and whether or not it responds to HTTP requests.  Just E-Mail me your E-Mail address and I'll give it to you.
