How to retrieve deleted files in a DVD-R?

Just to clarify, my DVD-R isn't damaged and there are no hidden files.

I can delete files in a DVD-R because when I burned files in it, I set it to multi-session, meaning I can burn it over again and again but using the remaining free space and while doing that, I delete some files, kinda renewing them.

So, I'm just wondering if there is any way to retrieve files that I intentionally deleted. Thanks^^

I CAN DELETE FILES SO, COZ...hmm, it's kinda hard to explain...I'm kinda a 'computer wizard', so I know I can do so using Nero...I asked this for the third time...plz don't say that I can't delete dvd-r files....OK, TO MAKE IT CLEARER, IM GONNA PUT IT SIMPLY...

1)remaining space is used so the old files are, i dunno, hidden, in which I supposedly deleted them, but I can't find them wherever, even I allow to see hidden files

2)MULTI-SESSION, burn a disk more than one time...NERO can do that on a DVD-R OR A CD-R

3)I asked this question for the third time so plz........

THANK YOU!

  1. Ok, Wizz?? From what I know, multi session makes you WRITE in multiple sessions. Period. You can not write over & over the burnt area again in DVD-R, unless you used DVD-RW, which you did not. What the burning program does is, that it does not burn the CDFS master FAT Table in mulltisesioning. So you can append files. See the words? APPEND, add, not delete, not overwrite. When you deleted the file from the burning app & added new file, the file is there on the disc, but it now can not be seen by the CDFS master FAT table. The person above me has the tool you need to use.the data is on the DVD but just not on the latest FAT burned by the application..

  2. There is a program called CD Roller that can read data from even damaged disks so maybe it can help you to get back your files.

This is sadly not a free program but maybe you can find freeware programs like this.

I also found this site maybe it helps you: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f3/dvd-recovery...

I think you should just try to search for "dvd recovery" or "free dvd recovery".
