I have recently started dating an amazing guy who is a huge Harley fan and loves to ride daily. I have had the pleasure of riding on the backseat several times and I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how best ride on the backseat? He says I am doing well but are there any hints or tricks to learn? Thanks for all of your help and advice!!

  1. Stay in line with him and hang on

  2. different riders have different preferences...

when I have a girl on the back of the 'Bird, I have her hold onto me, and subsequently she will lean with me to some extent....

when my dad rides people on his 'Wing, he prefers to have them hold the handles, and remain upright at all times (like luggage, basically)

depends on who's the pilot, and their preferences

  3. Pretty much, relax and follow his lead.  Keep your body in line with his and NEVER try to manuver the bike with your body in any way.

  4. Just as the other answer said, follow the drivers body language to lean, hold on with your legs mostly, squeezing him to hold on with. Hand on his waste if no back rest or you feel the need to.

Don't ever touch his head while he's riding, all riders use there heads for balance.

  5. Just sit there and enjoy the ride. No need to lean with them or keep your body in line with theirs.  He will control the bike as most people who have rode for any length of time will tell you. Just like in a cage sit down and let the driver do the driving. Enjoy the ride!

  6. Wear those s**y thigh-high boots with short shorts and torn asspockets. Also wear a tube top that lifts easily. Put your hair in a pony tail and wear eye-protection.

  7. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride!

I have seen that people here are saying to "move with him" NO you sit with your back against the b*tch bar (back rest if it has one) and don't move! If you lean or move with him you will mess him all up! Especially if he is less experienced rider!

  8. Follow his body, not the bike, If he leans you lean, if the bike leans, but he doesnt, dont lean.. Its very simple just watch his body and imitate, holding on to him might score you some extra points too ;)

  9. Keep your feet on the pegs  and, occasionally,  hug him close and whisper "oh, baby..." in his ear.

  10. I like the passenger to hold my side belt loops or hands on my sides. If I have a sissy bar I like her to lean on it to a point and ride like luggage. If I apply brakes I like her to put the force of the braking onto my back so I can compensate her weight along with mine and apply brake force accordingly. NEVER take your feet off the pegs for any reason unless the bike is going down and I'll tell you when that is happening. Like was said, the pilot's preference. As many ways to ride as there are bikes out there. No two people want the same things exactly the same.
