  1. Place them in a brown paper bag on your counter

  2. If you use the paper bag and put a ripe banana in it that really helps speed up the process - the banana gives off ethylene gas which helps ripen all fruits.

  3. leave them in the sun for a day or two.

  4. The Majesty Palm has a few requirements - lots of water, bright light or full sun and feed it heavy. That means in the middle of the week you should check it and if it seems dry or light weight give it at least half the amount of water you give it on the weekends. Full sun means move it to a south facing window and leave the blinds and drapes open all day long. Feed it heavy means add a dose of half strength water soluable fertilizer like Miracle Grow every 2 weeks to your fertilizer spikes you already have in place. As for insects, the picture of the bac of the leaves showed little spots. Are those on the surface and do they scrape off with your fingernail or a nife edge? Or are they tiny indentations into the leaves?

The brown leaf tips and the leaves bending in the middle is coming from not enough water. What I see on the back of the leaves in the picture appears to be signs of insects but I am not sure exactly what. Answer my question above and I will let you know what I think it is and what you should do about them.
