How to ruin a in the ground pool so no one can swim in it!!!!!!?

Does anyone know of anything that someone can put in a pool so that it has to be closed down so that no one can swim in it. Something that will not kill anyone that comes in contact with the water but, will cause the pool to need draining?

Hello,,sounds a little weird,,so here's a weird response,,take a bunch of exlax..eat half a watermelon,,6 hotdogs,and drink some orange juice,,go to the pool and stand in it for 6 hours,,that'll close it for sure!!

Jello might work but then you'd need cold temperatures and you'd have to buy a LOT of it so the pool would probably be closed already by the time which it would work with the weather and then it'd cost you a lot of money (not to mention any court costs in case this is someone else's pool).

colored food dye   jello coloring     or just pop a tiny hole then swim away and it will eventually get bigger

As a Swimming Pool Tech, i really hate to answer this... But... here is the most effective thing you can add to the pool to kill his water... and it is really easy.

go to your local landscape store, and you want to purchase the green nitrogen pellets that they use for fertilizing lawns.  the Nitrogen, when introduced to the water, with the chlorine, will turn his pool a nasty algae filled pool overnight.  If not overnight, give it a day or 2, and it will be so green he wont know what to do.  

You throw in a pound or 2 of those pellets to his pool, and he'll be draining his water for sure.

I know from experience having dealt with some landscapers getting just a little bit of these pellets into the pools i used to take care of.

This is the answer you are waiting for, and since there is nothing to trace, cant ever trace it back to you, unless you get caught in his backyard...  You could however put the pellets into a nylon sock with the end open, and throw it from the fence, thats an option too, But just make sure you throw it into the water.

The only thing he'll find is an empty nylon sock...
