How to run a car without keys?

Oh dont think i'll steal one, but i just saw a horror movie and i saw that the good man wanted to run a car, to save his life but he couldn't so i wonder if the same happned to me ,and wanted to run a car without it's keys.

Got a flathead screwdriver?  It works great in some ignitions!

Older cars could be "hot-wired" which means pulling out the keylock and shorting the wires together. New cars have all sorts of mechanisms that make it much more difficult, but not impossible.

or just say "Computer, start car"....tada, the 24 century has arrived. It works on Star Trek....

You force off the ignition key mechanism. Then turn the ignition SWITCH with a screwdriver (or anything flat).

So easy a high school drop outs can do it (often the thieves are).

Some expensive cars (like Corvette) there's a microchip.  Without the chip, the car will not start (even if the ignition switch is turned).
