How to run a remote wire from my radio? to the amp?

i have a longsmall blue wire that came with my amp kit and im guessing that its the "remote turn on" because the only termnial that is available on the amp is called "Rem" so how do i do this? i have a sony cdx gt-320

  1. The correct wire behind the head unit will be blue/white.  Connect it to your remote wire using a crimp connector.  Route the wire to the amplifier and connect the other end to the amp's remote terminal.

    This wire tells the amplifier to turn on whenever the deck is turned on.

    A crimp connector is a reliable way to connect two wires in a car audio installation.  It looks like this: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl....

    You can buy them at any hardware store.  You can also make your wire connections by twisting the two wires together and soldering, then wrapping with a good quality electrical tape.  Don't just twist and tape, and don't use wire nuts for your connections; these aren't reliable methods.


  2. you gotta look at the head  unit itself and it should tell you what wire is the remote turn on then just run it along your power wire down to your amp and plug it in its real easy. if you have troubles with that go to sony.com and download the manual it will tell you exactly which wire it is mine was blue if i remember right.
