Question:

How to save PDA information and settings?

Hi all,

I recently got a PDA and have had to do a couple of hard resets (no big deal). But for some reason, when I do a hard reset, all of my information is gone (except what was already saved on the memory stick). Even my owner info is gone.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to save info or settings that are created with the PDA. It's an HP iPaq.

How can I save the settings and documents so that it saves to the memory stick or harddrive instead of being in the memory?

  1. Try this FREE software : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/01/29/p...

U can back up : email , sms , call history , contacts , custom folders.. also has auto backup @ predefined time option

  2. Get a program called spritebackup

It backs up your info to the memory card

It saves all of your information registry settings added programs and contacts list ,etc

It is  the most complete backup i have seen

    Try it here

    http://www.spritesoftware.com/products/i...

I mainly need to backup my contacts and appointments so i use pimbackup but it will not backup all of your settings /programs or owner info.

  3. Try hotsync to a desktop computer then try to save it to your storage device. I use a Palm PDA phone and  my wife use a Palm PDA.
