How to save download in firefox?

when i download a file in firefox i cant save it in my documents it just save it in the firefox doenload list. please help.

Preferences -> Main

Here u can set up the folder it downloads to.

Right click the entry in firefox's download list >>click "Open containing folder". Its right there.

You can also choose the download folder as described by the person above.

Tools > Options > Main > Always ask me where to save files

when you do that it will ask you about the place where you want to save the file
