How to save phone battery?

k so i lost my phone charger and it will b a while until i get it back or get a new one how can i save the battery i only have 1/4 of battery its off now but i want to txt my friends any tips

well i try not to use it too much turning ff blue tooth helps if its a sprint phone and you have access to the account online you can send text messages from there
