Question:

How to say no to my "friend"?

I go to school with this person who lives down the road from my house. When we both started school at the same school and being friends and living near each other we started walking to school together. Around halfway through the year we weren't as close, in diff. classes and when we would be talking they would run off suddenly if they saw one of her other friends. Naturally I started wanting to walk alone, but since it was awkward to stop I waited til the end of the school year. This next school year is coming up and they want to walk together again. I told them things like my schedule would be busy in mornings etc. and they still say we can figure it out. I don't want to seem rude but I really want to walk alone and not upset them. suggestions? Thank you!

  1. Just try to get off first or just be in a rush, try to avoid them, or maybe if you're gutsy, just tell them that you don't want to walk because of how you guys haven't been such great friends, if she seems nice on the first day, try walking with her, if she ditches you just slowly drift away or stop walking with her and maybe if she doesn't understand that shes ditching you explain the situation.

Sorry if that was unclear, and I hope the situation gets better.
