How to say "do you speak japanese" in japanese?

How do you ask someone if they speak Japanese in Japanese? ( does that make sense?)

I'd appreciate the romanized version :]

What's the point?  Even if they do speak Japanese, you won't understand the response.

For instance:

"Nihongo wo hanashimasu ka?"

"Hai, hanashimasu. Shitsumon ga arimasu ka"

"Do you speak Japanese?"

"Yeah, I speak it. Do you have a question?"
